I love making math as creative and fun as possible. Playing with compasses, circles, and circumferences is naturally engaging and my students really like making their own designs. I set up a couple of circle design centers, as well as some circumference stations and my students move through them. Here are some examples of their work:

Centers:
Paperclip Circumference w/ a Partner
Circumference Task Cards w/ your math journal
So fun and a great set of activities to brighten up a room. We made miniature circle patterns by first cutting small 3 inch diameter circles from cardstock, snipped each radius along the circumference and then used string to make cool string art ornaments. I have all the details at my store, so take advantage of Sunday’s Super Sale!
