As most teachers know, summer vacation is a time to review and create curriculum, assess last’s years highlights and areas of improvement, as well as a time to recharge. Since I teach at a year-round school, I have just six weeks off, so I need to be efficient with it. So I am spending a couple of weeks with my parents in Oregon. I will be using the morning time to work on common core curriculum, and the afternoons walking/hiking/beaching/eating/shopping. I am fortunate that I can take advantage of their situation. Sorry for the quality of the photo, too much contrast between inside and outside, literally and figuratively. Inside is my work table with my common core placements (all the math standards on one page) laid out, outside is the view of my parent’s property.
