Today I am linking up with Deanna over at Mrs. Jump’s Class to share with you ten things I want to do this summer.
1. Catch up on some movies.
I love going to the movies, but the last month of school is too impossible for me to go movies, so I am behind. I want to see “Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Nebraska.”
2. Update our guest bathroom – DONE!
Our guest bathroom is fine, but a little juvenile. So it won’t take me long to update it. Just swapping out the rubber duckies with some hipper accessories.
3. Clean out the garage.
Yuck.
4. Hang out with my daughter.
She is home from college this summer so we are so looking forward to doing some crafts, especially some jewelry. Here is a bracelet we made for her roommate.
5. Reorganize my classroom.
This never ends, trying to find the right flow and organization to maximize student learning. Here is what I did last year.
6. Figure out my “Math Stations.”
I love doing math stations and I often get asked how I do them in my 2-5th grade classrooms. So I am going to formalize the whole procedure, so I have a document that I can give to other teachers.
7. Update my cooking repertoire.
I love to cook, but I need to get some new go-to recipes. I just made Caribbean jerk chicken drumsticks that were delicious. Jamie Oliver posts new recipes on his Facebook page that I am going to try.
8. Maybe get a smart phone.
Most of my family have smart phones, but I couldn’t justify the expense. But I think when we get a new contract this month I will check into getting one.
9 and 10. Take siestas!
