I always struggle to think of a gift for my kids to make for their parents and families. It needs to be memorable, easy to make, and affordable, and not cheesy. This year our school has been encouraging kids to be outside and play. So one night it came to me (of course waking me up early in the morning and I couldn’t fall back to sleep), my kids can decorate jars and put inside slips of paper that has an outdoor activity for the families to do. Each kid could come up with two ideas, and a couple more so that we would have 52 ideas so the family would do one a week. Each kid brought in a jar and decorated it using tissue paper and mod podge. It was a hit! I have received so many compliments on it! It’s a gift that keeps on giving for a whole year, and works for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.
I edited our outdoor list to make it more neutral, added 52 conversation dinner starters, and 52 random act of kindness as well as blanks to create your own. I also included a label for the jar. Here is a link to the gift set on TPT.
